Traditional Hereford Breed Champion!

Carpenters Curly 2nd was much admired at the recent Royal Three Counties Show coming home with Breed Champion having won her senior cow class. This is our local show being only a few miles from home so was extra special to do well amongst friends. 

Success for the cattle at Shropshire Show

Carpenters yearling bull 'Ledbury' was Junior Traditional Hereford champion, winning the John Featherstone Perpetual Trophy for the best Traditional Hereford yearling, with heifer Carpenters Curly 8th reserve.  Ledbury went on to win Reserve Breed Champion, and Curly reserve female champion, so a good day! 

New stock bull

Shefford Monarch aka 'Buster' has arrived and will be here for the next few months as our new stock bull. Totally chilled and a perfect gentleman!

First show of 2018 for the sheep

This bunch excelled themselves last week at thr North Somerset Show where we had wins with the rams and the group, and the shearling ewe was 4th.

First calf for new stock bull 'Shefford Monarch' AKA Buster!

We bought a part share in a 5 year old bull in November. A grandson of the great Freetown Kendall,  and a cow in calf to him. Very excited to have a beautiful dark bull calf  last week, and the bull himself arrives tomorrow.....watch this space!

Young bull Carpenters Moses now a year older than the picture as a calf , has been placed 2nd twice in his three times out, Carpenters Curly 8th managed a win at Shropshire County show, also taking reserve female champion.
